DEPARTING
Your hotel departure will be 3.5 hours prior to your flight departure. This is because Aruba provides US Customs Clearance for all US-bound flights. This means a recommended 3-hour check-in before departure.
Check in at the airline counter. Every passenger must have their bags with them.
Luggage is turned over to airline agent.
After airline check-in, passengers proceed to Document Security, at the entrance of the departure lounge. After which they will meet with Aruba Immigration.
Passengers now proceed to the first security check point for carry-on baggage.
Immediately, after this check point, if traveling with a U.S. bound carrier, all passengers MUST claim their checked bags and proceed to U.S. Immigration.
After US Immigration passengers will proceed to the U.S. Customs area. Aruba provides U.S. Customs clearance for all passengers departing on flights to the U.S. You will not need to clear customs again when arriving in the U.S.
Immediately after U.S. Customs, passengers will be directed to the baggage conveyor belt where they are required to place their bags. Make sure you use the belt for the correct airlines.
Passengers then proceed to a second and final U.S. Security check point for personal and carry-on baggage inspection.
After U.S. Security passengers will proceed to the indicated gate where their flight will depart from.
